Efficient Dredging has to do with the uptime of equipment, and uptime has to do with the maintainability of systems and subsystems. In cases of unexpected equipment failure, the availability of spare parts – either on board or quickly flown in from the OEM supplier – can be crucial for the continuous operation of the dredger.
IHC Systems optimally serves clients with components, alternatives for obsolete components and with advice. A number of spare parts is practically always available from stock, others will be produced on request.
Our fully automated Equipment Information System (WIS) provides data on all our deliveries, so clients do not need bothering about particular specifications or finding specific suppliers to match a request from the dredge operator. Even requests for alternatives of obsolete items can mostly be solved with a minimum of effort on fitting them in existing installations.
Apart from that, we advise to keep stock of parts for essential and long-lead items on board. It reduces waiting time and permits ship-owners to remedy some defects by themselves or to easily carry out maintenance work. If the need arises, our service department will assist crew on how to carry out such operations, by telephone or by other communication means. Contact after sales staff ...
