Back to overview sensors and transmitters.
The transformation of physical values into electric signals is essential for monitoring the dredge operation. For a wide range of specific applications IHC Systems has different types of mechanical transducers:
- Linear displacement
- Angle (vertical)
- Inclinotransmitter
- Load Pin
Measuring the dredging depth on any dredger requires high accuracy. For this purpose, angle transmitters have been designed, which consist of a stainless steel housing with high accuracy pendulum and can be delivered with synchro/encoder or potentiometer transducers depending on the accuracy that is needed. The list and tilt of a dredger can be measured using an inclinometer. Load pins are used to measure for example trail forces in a suction tube and linear displacement transmitters are used to determine spudcarrier position on a stationary dredger. All these mechanical transducers are designed to withstand any dredging environment's rigours.
