Hydrographics

IHC Systems establish a special Hydrographics Department involved in all products and services having any relation with hydrographic- and survey issues.
The Department crew on board comprises: former Manager Survey Mr. Gerard Mallee, who now has the official function of Consultant and Mr. Wim van Wieren, Product Manager Hydrographics. Many of you have known Gerard for a long time and he needs no further introduction. Wim van Wieren, age 43 is a graduate hydrographer from the Amsterdam hydrographic school in 1985. From '87 to '96 he worked for the Royal Netherlands Navy as hydrographic system support engineer for the marine geodesy branch in the Netherlands Head Office. Both for the operational fleet of hydrographic ships as for the Mine Warfare Datacenter where hydrographic systems were applied. In 1996 he transferred to the survey department of the Dutch Ministry for Transportation and Public Waterways as a project manager especially in positioning related topics. In 2000 he joined IHC Systems, first in software- and products development and from 2004 as Manager Hydrographics (products and services). He is a member of the Hydrographic Society and currently board member in the Benelux Branch.
