Meanwhile, with the holiday season underway, not only the outside temperatures are rising, but also inside our offices and yards, jackets are taken off and sleeves are rolled up. Time seems to fly, with (still) the characteristics of the project content on cutter suction dredging, the mega rock cutter D’ Artagnan and the cutter suction dredger training simulator for DEME in their final building stage, and with the projects for the cutter suction dredgers Kaerius and Hondius and the training simulator for the Jan de Nul group only just starting, we are, at least until mid 2006, quite occupied with cutters.

Time seems to fly! This time aspect also concerns the following IHC Systems employees who each celebrated their 25years jubilee with IHC Systems, Cor van der Wulp, Jaap Kruithof and André Evera. Cor as Head Project Department, Jaap at the spare parts sales desk and André at our purchase department, celebrated their jubilee with a nice barbeque-party. Lots of guests were invited like clients, (old) colleagues from both Imtech and IHC and naturally the closest family (partners & children) of the jubilees. Luckily enough this Thursday was the best day of the week, weather-wise, so the whole event was very successful. IHC Systems thanks the commitment of Cor, Jaap and André, with many more IHC years to come.

This month we are starting to prepare ourselves for the two yearly exhibition "Europort" for the first time in the 'Ahoy hallen' in Rotterdam. IHC will have its traditional full-size stand, with quite an exiting lay-out. IHC Systems will give live demonstrations of its cutter suction dredger training simulator product including an artificial outside view. It provides the possibility to get a realistic experience of dredge control over a cutter dredge using actual data from our standard Beaver dredge series. The exhibition will be held in November the 1st until the 5th, we hope to meet you there!

For those of our relations who still have to go on holiday we wish them a very pleasant stay and safe travel. For the ones who will be on call this summer: our office is open and the cell phones of our sales & management staff are switched on 24 hours a day. Enjoy your summer!
