Back to efficient dredging news

IHC Systems was present on the Gulf Maritime exhibition in the United Arab Emirates, a medium size exhibition mainly focused on all the nautical activities in the region. Our impression was that the exhibition was mainly used by the exhibiting companies to present and strengthen the activities in the region. IHC Holland had a large stand on this exhibition and was receiving several regional customers. For IHC Systems it was good to have an
impression of the profile of the exhibiting companies and how many are also (partly) active in the dredging industry.

The Offshore Technology Conference in Houston is a very large exhibition, focused on offshore. IHC was represented with 2 stands, one ‘manned’ by IHC Hytop and one by IHC Hydrohammer. As IHC Systems we opted this year to join the Hytop stand as our base and from there daily walks in the exhibition jungle were made. As most people are aware the offshore and dredging boom seems to be synchronized at this moment. Both industries have good order books and prospects.
Further it was interesting to see “Simulators” which are developed for all kinds of activities and the real time 3D models are getting ever more advanced. Also IHC Systems is running in this field and has a leading position in dredging s(t)imulation, also if one compared our simulator product in the dredge world to the technology as offered in the offshore.

Maintenance under construction on Thursday April 6th, IHC Systems invited their clients for a gathering. This afternoons’ topic was maintenance under construction. The intention of this meeting was to provide both clients and suppliers with the opportunity and platform to speak and discuss freely about their experiences, their future developments and plans all together. Speeches were delivered by Jan de Nul n.v., Rockwell Automation B.V., GE Fanuc
Automation and IHC Systems BV itself.
After the speeches invitees were given the opportunity to integrate and talk to one another about the issues dealt with in their presentations, while sailing and enjoying themselves. According to the positive reactions afterwards received from all people invited, we are proud to declare this day has been a very successful one and the objectives of this day have been reached. Maintenance under construction, will have our utmost attention, an afternoon like this will definitely be repeated in the future.
