From the onset of IHC Systems, employees were intrigued by the versatility of mechanical excavator dredgers and how our customers applied them in dredging jobs so various as one may imagine. This fascination resulted in the first attempts to assist these contractors in enhancing the efficiency of such dredgers by electronic presentation systems. Once good relationships with contractors began to develop, a fruitful exchange of ideas started flowing at all organisational levels. Nowadays IHC Systems is able to assist customers with products and systems for these dredgers that really optimize positioning, working methods, process scenarios and accident prevention. Dedicated to Efficient Dredging and fully co-operative with clients, IHC Systems established large improvements in the field of operational efficiency of mechanical dredgers.

For that purpose a range of products and systems are constantly developed, designed, produced, commissioned and maintained with the aim on life-cycle supporting our customers in:

• Exactly and accurately knowing where to dredge
• Preventing over-dredging and time losses
• Allowing dredging with a true wealth of excavator makes and origins, as well as tools and tool configurations, without any problem
• Automating several ‘difficult’ movements of the dredger
• Enhancing crew’s awareness of the dredging process, and pleasure in their job
• Enhancing safety of operation

This has resulted in a basic range of mechanical dredger oriented products and systems, ranging from robust and reliable submerged sensors and transmitters to a series of stand-alone or integrated monitoring, control and automation systems which are in most cases combined with efficient solutions such as DGPS positioning and Dredge Track Presentation Systems.
