New DTPS release with an updated design- and project database structure. See attachment dtpscutter.jpg and dtpshopper.jpg. Starting the new release will make irreversible changes to existing databases from previous versions.

What's new!
This release provides functionality that might be interesting for many users;

  • Triangulation (TINNING) and cleaning was already added to Design;
  • Settings to process (NMEA) Position interfaces with splitted height information (ellipsoidal AND local);
  • Added a new advanced interface to IHC SYSTEMS’ STPM;
  • 5th DTM layer. DTPS could process simultaneously 10 DTM’s (either in separated areas or in one area describing multiple sediment layers) each consisting of 4 layers of (depth) information. A 5th layer has been added to any of these 10 DTM’s in which a processor can store (online) additional user defined data;
  • Interface to IHC SYSTEMS DCMS (Dredge Computer Automation) status protocol. This can "slave" DTPS to intelligence from the dredging computer. Examples are the new Dump Track Recording;
  • Dump Track Recording. Records (stores) the status of the ship when dumping in order to prove ships data and movement for environmental monitoring programs. The function is described in Technical Note #801253 DumpTrackRecording which can be accessed similar as the Release Notes;
  • Changed project-design link in order to allow switching designs (centerline) and or other design objects (areas) when online;
  • Added a interface to IHC SYSTEMS’ DLC (Only DTPS side).



Documentation
At this moment no new documentation is available. The current DTPS usermanual version is 588 4261 – Rev B from june 2003. The new user manual will be available at the end of this year.

Coming Up Next!

  • ENC: DTPS will offer as an additional option access to 7C’s DENC data. DENC data can be easily gained from 7C’s charting office at www.chartworld.com.
  • Surveying: We are planning to enhance the DTPS software with simple and low entry surveying functionality offering features for data acquisition, -processing and -editing as well as limited output production.
